Clients come to me with a range of challenges from burnout, chronic illness, relationship or work challenges, or overcoming a traumatic experience. What my clients usually have in common is that they have found themselves in a pivotal time in their lives where they are in need of different strategies and where their current ones are no longer working or satisfying. They tend to be professionals with a lot on their plate and not so much time. 

The guidance I am offering and the processes I facilitate with clients are based on empowerment and efficacy and will provide each client with reproducible techniques and tangible results.  I tailor the combination of tools that I teach to suit their unique personality and needs, creating a bespoke experience 1:1 with the aim of enhancing health in every area of life, promoting inner peace, freedom and sovereignty.

I have worked with a few hundred clients from 20 countries through the retreats I run, through teaching groups and 1:1 sessions. I have taught over 500 hours of yoga and meditation to international clients. My clients claim I have made a transformational impact in their lives and have guided them to a deep, authentic place within. 

I get my inspiration and draw from the lineages of psychology, western science, tao, shamanism, mysticism and ancient yogic philosophy. My work is both deeply practical and down-to-earth as well as mystical and esoteric as I believe we need to restore and capture the whole of our human experience. Inevitably, we need to come back to ourselves by feeling at home in our bodies. Only from this connection can we find authentic wisdom within and only then the journey to empowerment, joy and love can take off.

 Here’s a selection of the techniques I use:

Energy work

Einstein stated it so poignant: ‘Everything is energy, that’s all there is to it‘. 

Energy work, or energy healing is a form of complementary and alternative medicine based on the idea that vital energy flows through the human body and is all around us. The goal of energy healing is to balance the energy flow in the client. It is used to reduce stress and anxiety and promote well-being. Using my hands I work on the body’s energy meridians to enhance the flow of ch’i (energy, or prana). This is acupuncture without the needles, and leaves clients feeling calm, centred and energized.

Chakra work

There are seven energy centres in the body, each associated with the health of different organs and different aspects of life. Using bespoke visualisation and usually done whilst being in deep connection with the body (and the client thus being in a receptive mode, during a therapeutic yin yoga session or whilst in meditation), I teach clients how to harmonise and re-empower these energy centres.

Yin Yoga therapy

Yin yoga combines the influences of Indian Yoga with Chinese Daoist practices and Western science to improve health on many levels. With its emphasis on long-held, passive stretches of the deeper connective tissues, Yin yoga mobilizes and strengthens joints, ligaments and deep fascial networks.

 Combined with deep, slow breathing, the therapeutic Yin yoga I teach will reduce stress, turn off the sympathetic nervous system (fight-or-flight) and turn on the parasympathetic nervous system (rest-and-digest), increase levels of the neurotransmitter GABA, lower blood pressure, improve your heart and lung function and lead to a healthier and happier life. Deep postures lead to a deeper healing and wholeness and an unmistakable deeper connection with self. 

Coaching & mentoring 

I will be a coach and a mentor, guiding clients through their process with expertise, poise, knowledge and compassion.This is done through “talking”, exercises, sharing insights and invoking new learning.

Coaching is a partnership between coach and client. Coaching unlocks a client’s potential and helps a client to learn rather than teaching them. Coaching builds awareness, empowers choice and leads to change. 

Creative visualisation and meditation

The benefits of meditation are rich and well backed-up by science. Reducing negative emotions to improving self- awareness, reducing anxiety and decreasing depression are a few of them.

But one usually can’t just go and ‘meditate’ and without a proper framework, guidance or teaching, meditation could lose its power and significance. When combined with creative visualisation meditation can be very potent. The mind is given a task and a focus and this makes it easy, appealing and fun to visualise and imagine. Visualization can help change habits, reduce stress and give a wider point of view. It is fairly easy to understand why athletes use it as a training tool and why creative professionals find it so important. 

Yoga Nidra 

Yoga Nidra is a simple yet profound technique (adapted by Swami Satyananda Saraswati from the traditional tantric practice of nyasa, Satyananda Yoga Nidra ™) and it is one of the most effective techniques I have come across that systematically releases tension (so effectively that one hour of Yoga Nidra equals 4 hours of deep sleep).

In Yoga Nidra the mind is absolutely obedient and this systematic method induces complete mental, emotional and physical relaxation. Given that the instructor is well trained, when you practice yoga nidra, the nature of your mind can be changed, diseases can be cured and your creative genius can be restored. The subconscious and the unconscious mind are the most powerful forces in the human being. This simple practice of yoga nidra has the capacity of penetrating into the depths of the human mind.

Is the coaching live or online?

This depends on the client and the situation. With some clients it will be an intensive weekend for example, where we will meet on location (e.g. hotel), some clients I will meet at home and with other clients we will meet online.
